This Staria was transformed with the captivating Midnight 3 color from Tinybot, a unique shade that commands attention. We'll explore the owner's decision to move away from the previous white film and embrace a completely new aesthetic. How did the Staria transform with this full wrap?

Midnight 3 Color Wrap Process for the Staria

The vehicle featured in this review is a Hyundai Staria. Upon arrival, the Staria was already wrapped in a white pearl film. However, the owner had purchased the vehicle with this existing wrap, which proved difficult to maintain and had become stained over time, prompting a decision for a full re-wrap. White films, in particular, can absorb contaminants, making them hard to remove once set. After considerable deliberation, the owner selected Tinybot's exclusive 'Midnight 3' film. This remarkable film shifts between mesmerizing blue and violet hues depending on the viewing angle.

The process began with the complete removal of the existing white pearl film. The Staria's original color is black. After meticulously removing the old wrap, we also detached the body kit as requested by the owner. This allowed for a higher quality wrap installation before reattaching the components. For a large vehicle like the Staria, film removal alone can be time-consuming. The owner's provision of ample time enabled a more detailed and meticulous installation.

Installation Process:

1. Film Removal: Carefully strip the old vinyl wrap from the Staria's body panels.
2. Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare the original black paintwork for the new wrap.
3. Body Kit Detachment: Remove and re-install body kit components for seamless wrap integration.
4. Vinyl Application: Precisely apply the Tinybot Midnight 3 vinyl, paying close attention to curves and edges.
5. Detailing and Finishing: Ensure clean edges, proper sealing, and a flawless finish on all panels and complex areas like door handles.

Wrapping a vehicle as large as the Staria demands significant concentration. The Staria presents a higher installation difficulty due to numerous complex components, such as its door handles. Unlike standard door handles, the Staria's require interior trim removal for separation. Furthermore, its angular and curved design necessitates advanced skill to apply the film seamlessly in single pieces.

The side panel installation also proved more time-consuming than anticipated. Beyond the door handles, achieving a uniform finish across the expansive door surfaces was crucial. For the trunk area, a thorough understanding of the glass structure and precise tension control of the film were essential to prevent potential glass damage. We meticulously managed the film's stretch and edge finishing.

The Midnight 3 film, often called a 'chameleon film,' is characterized by its mystical color shifts between blue and violet tones, influenced by light and viewing angle. This unique color palette, combined with the Staria's distinctive design, creates an imposing presence. It complements the front fascia's sharp styling perfectly. The owner opted to retain the front lip in its original gloss black finish.

Considering the Staria's large surface area and intricate details, we focused on individual panel application and achieving the cleanest possible finish. Enhancing durability was also a key objective. Additionally, the owner requested PPF (Paint Protection Film) application on the hood to simplify maintenance. PPF offers excellent protection against external scratches.
