The Ricoshield R1 TPU PPF Experience

For this Audi RS, the chosen solution was Ricoshield's R1 TPU PPF, applied to the headlights and the B/C pillars. The R1 TPU is known for its self-healing properties, meaning minor scratches and scuffs can disappear with mild heat, maintaining a pristine look over time. The application was performed at L-Customs in Busan, a detailer experienced in high-performance vehicles. The film provides a clear barrier, preserving the original look of the car while adding a significant layer of protection. This is particularly important for the sharp, intricate lines of the Audi RS, where even small imperfections can detract from its aggressive styling.

Installation Process:

1. Surface Preparation: The headlight and B/C pillar surfaces are meticulously cleaned and decontaminated to ensure optimal adhesion.
2. Film Cutting & Application: The Ricoshield R1 TPU film is precisely cut to match the contours of the Audi RS's headlights and pillars. It is then carefully applied, ensuring no air bubbles or lifting.
3. Activation & Curing: Heat is applied to activate the film's self-healing properties and ensure a smooth, integrated finish. The film then cures over a short period, fully bonding to the surface.
