If privacy is a primary concern, choosing a film with a lower light transmission (darker shade) is essential, even if it carries the same percentage rating as a lighter film.

The chosen film for this re-application was the Royal Series 901, a high-performance, non-reflective window film. Testing revealed impressive results: the 15% tint on the sides achieved a 97% infrared (heat) rejection rate, exceeding the manufacturer's official specifications. This indicates superior heat-blocking capabilities while maintaining good nighttime visibility. The non-reflective nature of the Royal 901 film minimizes glare and prevents the interior from being easily visible, even in direct sunlight, preserving the vehicle's aesthetic appeal.

The Re-application Process for Hyundai Venue Window Tinting

A critical aspect of any window tint re-application is the thorough removal of the old film and adhesive residue. At the Hanam branch, the process began by soaking the existing film with hot water for 2-3 hours. This softens the film, making it easier to peel off cleanly.

For the curved side windows, a steamer was used for approximately 3 minutes to ensure even heat distribution, which is vital for preventing adhesive marks. The front windshield, being rectangular, requires a different approach than the curved rear and side windows. The removal technique and duration are adjusted for each section to ensure a perfect finish.

Following the complete removal of the old tint and any adhesive, the glass surfaces were meticulously cleaned.
