The Art of Reflective Window Tinting: Precision and Preparation

Reflective window films, like Charon Gold, demand exceptional attention to detail due to their tendency to highlight even the smallest imperfections. Our process begins with a thorough vehicle wash to meticulously remove all dust and debris, ensuring a pristine surface for application. This foundational step is crucial for the final finish.

Following the wash, we carefully mask the door trims and rubber seals. This protective measure prevents any moisture or cleaning solutions from reaching sensitive areas and guards against minor scratches. Once masked, the existing film is gently removed using a steamer. Applying controlled heat and moisture softens the adhesive, allowing for safe removal without damaging the glass or defroster lines.

The most critical post-removal step is the complete elimination of old adhesive residue. Any remaining glue will be visible through the new film, especially with reflective tints, compromising the aesthetic. Our technicians dedicate significant time to precisely removing all traces of the old adhesive from the glass and defroster lines using specialized chemicals.

Front Windshield: Charon Gold at 35% for Optimal Clarity and Style

For the BMW X7's front windshield, a 35% tint level was chosen to balance privacy with crucial visibility for the driver. The window film is expertly cut to match the precise dimensions of the glass. Using heat-forming techniques, the film is carefully molded to conform to the windshield's curvature. After heat-forming, a secondary precise trimming is performed. The glass and film are then cleaned multiple times before the film is applied.

The squeegeeing process is vital for achieving a flawless finish. This technique meticulously removes all water and air bubbles, ensuring the film's longevity and a high-gloss appearance. Side and Rear Windows: 15% Tint for Enhanced Privacy and Aesthetics

The side and rear windows were tinted to 15%, maximizing privacy while still allowing the vehicle's silhouette to be discernible. This consistent application across all rear windows, including the quarter glass, follows the same meticulous cleaning, film application, and squeegeeing process.

The rear windshield, with its complex curves, requires heat-forming similar to the front windshield. The film is carefully heated and shrunk to perfectly match the contours of the glass before being applied and finished with a final squeegee pass. After all tinting is completed, the windows are left to cure, ensuring a durable and beautiful finish.
