The Volvo XC90, known for its safety and sophisticated design, is a popular choice for families. This review details a recent installation on a Volvo XC90, focusing on the benefits of premium films like Huper Optik's 'Fnase' and 'Classic' series, which offer superior heat rejection and UV protection. The process began with a thorough new car inspection to ensure the vehicle was in perfect condition before any work commenced. Following the inspection, meticulous masking and covering of the vehicle's interior and exterior were performed to prevent any accidental scratches or damage during the tinting process.

Huper Optik Fnase & Classic Film Analysis

This Volvo XC90 received a combination of Huper Optik's premium films: 'Fnase' for the front windshield and side windows, and 'Classic' for the rear. Specifically, the front windshield was tinted with Fnase at 30% VLT (Visible Light Transmission), while the first and second rows of side windows received Fnase at 15% VLT. The rear window was treated with Classic film at 15% VLT. This strategic selection balances privacy and visibility while maximizing comfort. The Fnase film utilizes patented nano-ceramic multi-layer technology, achieving a Total Solar Energy Rejected (TSER) rate of up to 77% and excellent optical clarity. It also blocks 99% of UV rays and up to 98% of infrared rays, creating a more comfortable cabin environment. The Classic film complements this with 99.9% UV protection and up to 79% infrared rejection, along with safety features like shatter resistance to prevent glass fragments from scattering in case of breakage. The Fnase film comes with a lifetime warranty, while the Classic film is backed by a 7-year warranty. Official stickers and warranty cards were provided post-installation for customer assurance.

Additional Enhancements: Black Box, Hi-Pass, and Ceramic Coating

Beyond window tinting, this Volvo XC90 also received several other protective and convenience upgrades. A FineVu LXQ500 POWER dashcam was installed, featuring QHD ultra-high-definition recording, Auto Night Vision, and HDR for clear footage day and night. Its SONY STARVIS image sensor and IPS LCD ensure excellent image quality even in low light. For added convenience on highways, an MpiOn Hi-Pass toll system was integrated, boasting a 99.9% communication success rate for uninterrupted toll collection. To further protect the vehicle's exterior, a NanoTech ceramic coating was applied. This coating provides excellent hydrophobic properties, repelling water, snow, and contaminants, making the car easier to clean and maintaining its pristine finish. Applying ceramic coating shortly after delivery is highly recommended for optimal long-term protection. Additionally, Paint Protection Film (PPF) was applied to high-wear areas such as door cups, door edges, and the fuel filler area to guard against minor scratches and scuffs from daily use.

Installation Process:

1. Thorough cleaning and preparation of all glass surfaces.
2. Precise cutting of the chosen tint film to match the exact contours of each window.
3. Careful application of the film to the interior side of the glass, using specialized tools to ensure a smooth, bubble-free finish.
4. Trimming excess film and allowing the tint to cure properly, typically for 24-48 hours, during which time windows should remain closed.
